Kinard Environmental Leadership The semester long class will provide 8th grade students with a unique opportunity to explore their own leadership potential with an environmental twist. The goal of this class is to broaden students' self-awareness while simultaneously discovering the importance of connecting with the natural world around them.
Class Curriculum Students enrolled in the Environmental Leadership class will engage in activities focused on developing personal and leadership skills through experiential and service learning. Conservation issues regarding land, air and water pollution, recycling, energy use and wildlife management will also be explored. The goal of the curriculum is to broaden students' knowledge and empowerment in their lives and the greater community.
Catalina Environmental Leadership Program The pinnacle experience of the Environmental Leadership class is a trip to Catalina Island, CA to participate in C.E.L.P., an environmental leadership camp.
